Anthropology Department: Interdisciplinary Tick-Borne Disease Research Assistant>

DUTIES: Act as liaison for various research teams working on a large scale project regarding tick-borne diseases (including Lyme Disease) on the Binghamton campus; maintain communication and meeting schedules; perform academic and internet research; help develop research protocols, permit applications, and funding proposals; attend general meetings and, dependent on interest level, expand familiarity with anthropological, biomedical, ecological, or behavioral research methods and analysis. 

SKILLS NEEDED: Strong organizational and oral/written communication skills as well as Microsoft Office and internet skills; experience with academic literature search; promptness and a strong work ethic; willingness to become fluent in at least the most fundamental aspects of tick-borne diseases.
