Giving

You know the transformational power of higher education. We do too.

Binghamton University is a rarity in the college world. In fact, it's in a class of its own, providing an education that is at once great and public, selective and accessible, community-oriented and globally involved.

In only six decades, Binghamton University's trajectory -- from a small, liberal-arts college to a premier public university -- has been nothing short of astounding. So how does Binghamton continue to grow, to attract top-tier faculty and students and to maintain its position as the "premier public university in the northeast" among increasingly stiff competition? Through generous contributions from people like you.

Yes, we're a state-supported University, but only approximately 26 percent of Binghamton's total operating costs are covered by state funds. Private gifts from alumni, parents, friends and businesses are essential to sustain and advance Binghamton's excellence and its public mission.

Every year, more than 12,000 individuals who believe in Binghamton's mission and its profound impact on the world donate money through the Binghamton University Foundation. These gifts are used to address the University's urgent needs and its strategic priorities.

Everyone has his or her own reasons for giving, but no matter how small or large the gift, each and every donation makes a real difference in the daily life and brilliant future of this proud University.

Thanks so much for your continued support of Binghamton University.
