Kenneth C. Lindsay Museum Study Room
The Kenneth C. Lindsay Museum Study Room will provide a focus for teaching, research and outreach related to the University Art Museum's permanent collection. By creating a dedicated space in which students, faculty and members of the community will be able to examine and study original works of art, the room will be a fitting memorial to Professor Lindsay's lifelong commitment to the study and protection of art and his inspirational teaching through direct observation and the immediate experience of works of art themselves.
The Kenneth Lindsay Museum Study Room will be a purposefully designed facility at the heart of the University Art Museum. Within it, classes focusing on original works of art can be taught, exhibitions drawing on the permanent collection can be mounted, and the teaching of art history, museum studies and curatorial skills can be brought together in an exciting and effective way.
