Supporting The Anderson Center

The performing arts play a critical role in enhancing the Binghamton University learning experience for students majoring in the arts as well as those who expand their horizons by attending performances.

In addition, people in our region deserve a cultural center in their midst — a first-rate facility where dance, theater and music entertain, inspire and delight. The Anderson Center for the Performing Arts is our way of fulfilling our profound commitment to our region; it brings Binghamton University and its community closer together and brings joy to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Though the Anderson Center is a premier facility attracting internationally renowned artists, age is catching up with it. After almost three decades of use, the Center requires increased maintenance and technological upgrades to maintain its quality and its stellar reputation.

With generous private support from alumni and friends, we will bring more American performers within reach of our budget. We will add performances so more people will be able to see our popular shows. We will explore new ways Supporting the Anderson Center of enhancing the theater experience. And we will continue to be a tremendous asset to our students and to the people of the Southern Tier.

With your help, we will do an even better job of bringing world-class performances to our local stage.
