Supporting The Decker School of Nursing

Truly talented and ambitious students choose the Decker School of Nursing, where they learn to think broadly and to be compassionate and caring nurses who are exceptionally skilled clinicians. We pride ourselves on preparing health-care leaders — nurses, educators and administrators — and on advancing healthcare research with a special focus on rural populations.

Today’s nurses reflect our aging society, and soon many will be retiring, leaving an even bigger void in an already stressed profession. It is incumbent upon Binghamton University and the Decker School of Nursing to educate the highest-quality nurses by providing the best teaching, research and clinical experiences possible in our rapidly advancing world. Our students deserve nothing less than the best technology, the best facilities — and especially the best teachers and mentors to inspire and challenge them.

Binghamton University has a historic commitment to serving the Southern Tier of New York. Nowhere is this commitment more evident than in the phenomenal nurses who graduate from our program, most of whom stay in New York to advance health care and serve our neighbors and friends.

Your generous support will ensure our ability to attract and train the unsung heroes we are honored to educate. You can demonstrate your commitment to one of the nation’s best schools training nurses during this critical time of need.

Points of Pride

  • In 2006 Greater Binghamton was hit with a devastating flood. Two thousand people were evacuated from their homes and placed in the Binghamton University Events Center. Decker School faculty and students volunteered their specialized service every day to aid people in need.
