Supporting the Watson School
In the past 25 years, we have benefitted from and contributed to Binghamton University’s national reputation by attracting talented students and first-rate scholars who are committed to turning those students into notable engineers and scientists.
Our students graduate as intelligent, dedicated engineers and scientists with hands-on practical experience. Combined with their drive and ingenuity, they’re well prepared to tackle global issues and make an economic impact on companies and communities wherever they go. We know this because they follow in the footsteps of the Watson School’s many successful alumni before them.
Through the research we conduct and those we educate, we’ll continue to ignite our students’ passion for learning and offer answers to life’s most vexing technical questions.
We have bold, ambitious plans for our future. With your help, we will continue to grow and improve as we seek to be recognized among the country’s top engineering schools.
Points of Pride
- Working with professionals from the Greater Binghamton Airport and a local engineering firm, students designed more efficient, yet environmentally safe, ways to manage ice and snow at an airport. Their two proposals each took first place in the Federal Aviation Administration’s national Design Competition for Universities.
- A new Computer-Aided Engineering Laboratory in a brand new facility enables students to gain expertise in all aspects of manufacturing design – from product design to designing manufacturing systems – using computers and computer-based human simulation for ergonomic design, giving graduates a competitive edge in today’s job market.
