Nothing is typical about Binghamton. The story of this truly great public university began only six decades ago when a bold, grassroots effort resulted in a thriving liberal arts institution that would become the beloved alma mater of some 100,000 alumni.
Bold, Brilliant, Binghamton. The campaign for Binghamton University celebrates progress, as well as the people, on whose shoulders we stand, while also motivating us to fulfill our promise to future generations.

DAVID CAMPBELL IS BUILDING A NEW and transforming local government and nonprofits. One strategy is his Philanthropy Incubator Project, in which students design a grant-making process, solicit applications and award grants to local nonprofits, thereby learning about those organizations and the difference they make in people’s lives. But more than that, students learn how to be leaders in the nonprofit world.
