THE BINGHAMTON FUND

Powerful. Immediate. Essential.

The Binghamton Fund provides a powerful opportunity to give a gift every year that makes an immediate difference every day for students and faculty in areas that are essential to the University's success. A flexible source of revenue for the University, the Binghamton Fund supports strategic initiatives critical to the success of our faculty and students. With these resources, University leaders seize opportunities that add depth and breadth to the University experience, and advance the goals identified in the University's strategic plan.

Immediate and Strategic

Gifts to the Binghamton Fund are immediately directed to the University's greatest and most fundamental needs, such as scholarships and fellowships; research support for undergraduates, graduates and faculty; mentoring programs and career fairs; laboratory equipment and library acquisitions; and admissions open houses and student activities. You can designate your Binghamton Fund gift to support the greatest needs of the University or needs in any of the following colleges, schools or units:

College of Community and Public Affairs
Decker School of Nursing
School of Education
Graduate School
School of Management
Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science
Anderson Center for the Performing Arts
University Art Museum
Athletics
Campus Enhancement
University Libraries
Research and Technology
Student Life

Students not only benefit from gifts to the Binghamton Fund, but also they help raise funds through the Telefund. These student-callers work for the Binghamton University Foundation, earning money that helps pay for college expenses while they seek to raise funds for the University's most critical needs.

A smart option: Chart a course for the future

The impact of gifts to the Binghamton Fund is felt in communities across the nation. Students who participate in or lead projects made possible by gifts to the Binghamton Fund develop valuable skills that serve them and society well, as they take their place in professional circles. And faculty who advance research supported by gifts to the Binghamton Fund explore questions that may trigger the next revolution in health care, engineering or management.

Special appreciation: Leaders in giving

Donors who make gifts to the University at the leadership level (single or cumulative gifts of $1,000 or more within the fiscal year) are recognized among the University's strongest supporters. The commitment demonstrated by gifts at this level helps the University create exciting educational opportunities and respond to the rapidly changing and competitive higher education environment.

Please give your gift today. It will go to work tomorrow.

The Binghamton University Telefund

When the phone rings in your home some evening, it could be a student ambassador calling to thank you for a gift you've made or to ask you to consider supporting Binghamton University.

The student callers are employed by the Binghamton University Foundation and are earning money to help pay for their educational expenses. They are bright, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. They can answer questions you may have about special events and programs at Binghamton University. And the donations and pledges they obtain from people like you go directly to fund scholarships, grants and awards; faculty hiring and retention; research; and academic, career development and alumni programs at Binghamton University.

If you're a Binghamton University alumnus or parent, please take a few moments to chat when a student contacts you.

If you're a student interested in a job at the Telefund we can tell you that it's fun, it's a great way to build your resume and it's one of the best-paying jobs on campus. For more information please call 607-777-4141.
