Funding Priorities
However you choose to give, you’ll be moving the University closer to fulfilling its funding priorities. These priorities are vast, touching almost every aspect of University life.
University-Wide Priorities
The University’s goals are driven by commitments envisioned by Binghamton’s founders — commitments to intellectual rigor and to life-changing opportunities for exceptional students — and renewed by a vision to become one of the best public universities in the nation. In support of this vision, the Foundation seeks additional resources from private sources in four key areas:
Faculty and academic support — to support advancements in knowledge through the support of interdisciplinary fields of study, collaborative research efforts and centers of excellence.
Student support — to secure funds for merit-based and need-based scholarships and programs that enhance student engagement and development.
Facilities enhancement — to further expand and enhance academic, cultural and research space.
The Binghamton Fund — to increase support for the University’s annual giving program, which funds critical needs in academic programming, faculty recruitment and student support.
School and Unit Funding Priorities
Each school or unit has specific needs. Below are examples of ways you can support their funding priorities. This list is by no means exhaustive; if you’d like to discuss additional priorities, contact Cory Jacobs, interim senior director of major gifts, at 607-777-5110.

• Sponsorships -- gain publicity and exposure by sponsoring a performance presented by the Anderson Center
• Art Museum entrance -- expansion would add exhibition space and a much-needed elevator to connect the now isolated Permanent Collection on the ground floor to the galleries, while also enabling easy assembling and dismantling of exhibits
