Our Best Response:

Are TOEFL/ IELTS scores required?

English Language Requirement

The TOEFL/IELTS tests help the University gauge your proficiency in English at the college level. TOEFL or IELTS scores are required for most international student applicants to the Graduate School at Binghamton University.

If you have received a college or university degree from an institution in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, or some Canadian provinces, you are not required to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score. If you are unsure whether or not your institution is exempt, please contact the Graduate School.

For score requirements, visit the Admission Requirements page on our Graduate School website.

If you have already taken the TOEFL/IELTS and need to submit your scores, Binghamton University's institution code is 2535.
