Our Best Response:

I already have a bachelor's degree can I still take undergraduate courses?

Taking Undergraduate Courses

If you wish to take undergraduate courses at Binghamton University and already have a bachelor's degree, you need to apply for admission to the Graduate School as either a degree-seeking (matriculated) or non-degree seeking (non-matriculated) student. In either case, you are permitted to take undergraduate courses.

For example, if you wish to enter a graduate program that differs from your undergraduate major, in some instances the program may recommend that you take undergraduate upper-level courses (likely as a non-degree or provisionally-admitted student) to fill deficiencies before applying to the program.

In some cases, matriculated students make take upper-level (400) undergraduate courses as graduate courses; students should complete and submit a petition to take these courses at the 500-level. View the Graduate School Manual for more information.

Additionally, you may take undergraduate courses (as a non-degree student) for general interest. You do this as a non-degree student. Learn more.
