What if I cannot submit my bank statement?

Submitting Bank Statements

Thank you for your interest in studying at Binghamton University!

We understand that accessing bank statements and other financial documents can take time. If you will not have access to your statements before your graduate admission application is due, please follow these instructions:

• Type an explanation of your situation
  • Include the date you requested your bank statement or the earliest date that your bank statement will be available.
  • If statements are only released at a certain time during the month/year, please explain your bank or financial institution’s policy on releasing bank statements.
• Upload the typed explanation to the “Proof of Financial Support” section of the online admission application
• As soon as you receive your bank statement/proof of support, e-mail it in PDF form to gradadmission@binghamton.edu. Put “Proof of Support” in the subject line. Include your name, date of birth, and graduate program in the body of the e-mail.

Please note: While your financial documents do not affect your admission or funding decision, the absence of these documents will delay your visa paperwork.
