Accelerated Degree Programs

Earn a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree

in Just Five Years

If you’re a highly motivated undergraduate student at Binghamton University or a partner higher education institution with focused career plans, consider speeding up your education by enrolling in one the Binghamton University Accelerated Degree Programs. You’ll complete your bachelor's degree and a master’s degree in a total of five years, getting all the benefits of Binghamton’s world-class graduate school while saving a year of tuition dollars.

How It Works

Working with an advisor, you’ll finish your undergraduate coursework in a little over three years. In your fourth year, you’ll take both bachelor’s- and master’s- level courses, apply for conferral of an undergraduate degree, and have the opportunity to participate in commencement. You will then be admitted to The Graduate School, allowing you to complete your program’s course sequence and fulfill the University residency requirement of 24 credits in your final year.

How It Pays

By choosing an Accelerated Degree, you’ll earn your bachelor's and master's degrees in less time than it takes for two separate degrees, and you’ll save some graduate-level tuition along the way. Plus, you’ll hit the job market sooner, positioning yourself for more job opportunities and a potentially higher starting salary with your master’s degree.
