The mission of Binghamton University's Graduate School of Education is to prepare caring, competent, and qualified teachers and educational leaders dedicated to their professions and to diverse learning communities. We offer graduate programs in Teacher Education, Educational Leadership, and Educational Theory and Practice—all grounded in intellectual breadth and depth in students' disciplines; in pedagogical theory and practice; and in social critiques and transformative action promoting equity, excellence, and democratic processes. We serve communities locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally, and we create and disseminate new knowledge about education.
