Earn Your Master's Degree in Education

Binghamton University’s Graduate School of Education announces a master's degree in Educational Studies, designed especially for working teachers and alumni in Greater New Orleans. This program will help you refine your teaching, learning and assessment skills; you will learn best practices and the theory behind them. You will learn strategies and approaches that improve learning outcomes for all students and deepen your understanding of what you are teaching — and why.

Classes will meet at sites in New Orleans, by videoconference and online, but always on a schedule aligned with school calendars and teachers' busy lives.

Binghamton’s Master of Education program features small cohorts of 20-24 students each and separate paths for elementary and secondary teachers. Secondary teachers will matriculate in core subject areas — English, mathematics, science or social studies.

Additional program features:

  • A five-semester master's program (fall, spring, summer, fall, spring)
  • Classes offered at convenient intervals during summer, fall and spring (combination of some weekends and evening times)
  • Focus on practical classroom applications with diverse learners
  • Coursework delivered onsite in New Orleans, online and via videoconferencing
  • Affordable tuition and fees: $16,000 for the complete program
  • Full online access to Binghamton University library materials
  • Assistance available though Binghamton's Office of Financial Aid Services
  • Scholarship monies available
