Receptions are held across the country to help law alumni develop and sustain professional and personal connections within their communities. These receptions provide an opportunity for alumni to share their views on relevant issues facing Binghamton University and Harpur College.
Each summer, the Harpur Law Council sponsors two internships, which provide pre-law students the opportunity to experience how law is practiced in the public sector. This program helps students establish professional connections and provides hands-on experience in public-interest law.
This online law alumni directory includes biographical, geographical and class-year listings as well as where alumni are admitted to the bar, primary practice areas and other degrees. It is an effective resource for networking, referrals and locating friends.
Law alumni volunteers are encouraged to share their skills and resources through programs such as lawyers’ roundtables and law-career forums to support and enhance the educational experience for our students.
Alumni in specific legal fields and geographic areas volunteer to serve as resources and "mentors" for pre-law students -- offering practical knowledge and guidance based on their personal experiences.
