Each summer the Harpur Law Council sponsors the Public Interest Law Internship Program. This unique undergraduate internship program gives Binghamton University juniors and seniors the opportunity to experience first-hand the practice of law in the public sector and make informed decisions about their choice to pursue a career in law. The application process is highly competitive and, for summer 2013, five internships will be offered. Selected students receive a $2,500 stipend plus one credit.. The five sites available for summer 2013 are Legal Services, NYC, Bronx, NYC Department of Education, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, Region 2, Office of the Appellate Defender, NYC and the Waterfront Commission of NY Harbor.
