Campus Telephone Service Information

For all students (on and off-campus): Binghamton University Telecommunications has an agreement with AT&T to offer discounted plans for cell-phones. For off-campus students only, they offer discounted high- speed internet services as well as discounted high-speed internet service with digital phone. Refer to our website for more information: www.telecom.binghamton.edu.

For students living on-campus: you will find a telephone in your residence hall room with the exception of Bingham, Broome, Delaware and Endicott Halls. In these four residential halls, phones service is only available by request. For those residence halls with telephones in the rooms, you will be able to make on campus calls, local calls and domestic long distance calls. If you wish to make international calls, directory assisted calls or operator assisted calls you must sign up for a Personal Billing Number (PBN) in the Telecommunications Office (LN G216) between the hours of 11:00am - 3:00pm.

• The Telecommunications calling plan offers unlimited local and domestic long distance calling (costs included in room rate).

• Additional costs include directory assistance within 607 area code calling at $0.45 per call, directory assistance outside the 607 area code calling at $1.25 per call, and operator assistance at $0.50 per call.
• Payments can be made through campus mail, in person (LNG 216), or online (www.telecom.binghamton.edu).
