As we move closer to New Student Orientation and the training activities for that program, staff availability for walk-in hours for Employment and Health Insurance will change. For this week, walk-in hours for both Employment and Health Insurance will take place as scheduled; Tuesday 1:30pm to 3:15pm for Employment, and Tuesday 10:15am to Noon for Health Insurance.
For the week of August 20, Health Insurance walk-in hours will take place as scheduled on Tuesday, August 21, but employment walk in hours are cancelled due to orientation training.
For the week of August 27, both Employment and Health Insurance walk-in hours are cancelled due to orientation.
Employment and Health Insurance walk-in hours will resume it’s regular schedule on Tuesday, September 4.
If you need to speak with a member of the ISSS staff regarding Employment or Health Insurance during a week when walk in hours are cancelled (until September 4), please call or visit the ISSS to request an individual appointment
Monday, August 27 will be the first day of new international student orientation. The Office of International Student and Scholar Services thanks the many students who have assisted our new arrivals. International Student Orientation check-in will be in the University Union Old Union Hall from 9:30am to 2:30pm on August 27. There are different orientation schedules for graduate students, undergraduate students, exchange students and Dual Diploma students from Turkey. All of the orientation schedules will be posted on line within the next week.
The orientation program features special presentations on the immigration regulations that all new students are required to know. We wish our new students "welcome" and much success with their academic program.
Although Orientation is still two weeks away, many new international students have begun to arrive on campus. If you happen to meet a new student, please be sure to direct them to the office of International Student and Scholar Services. Although ISSS will not be photocopying visa documents until Orientation, ISSS is recording new student arrivals and distributing their very helpful early arrival information sheet. ISSS looks forward to welcoming another large entering class of new international students this Fall!
Student bills are generated for the Fall 2012 semester if there is a course registration record created first. In the absence of registration, an E-bill is generated if there is a balance from other Fall 2012 charges such as room (for undergraduates), meal plan (if applicable) or previous miscellaneous charges such as Library Fines, Parking Fines, Room Damages, etc.
So if you have advance registered for the Fall 2012 semester, an email announcement of your student bill was sent to your Binghamton.edu account late last week. Similar email notifications were sent to any authorized user that you have set up on your student account.
Your student bill is posted at http://bubrain.binghamton.edu. The bill statements can be viewed on BU Brain http://bubrain.binghamton.edu Find the “student tools” menu. Click on the “Student Accounts” menu. Click on the "QuikPAY-Web Payments" and re-enter your username and password. Once in QuikPAY, click on "View Accounts" to view, print and pay the bill.
