Editor’s Note: Due to reduced staffing, there will be no health insurance walk-in appointments on Tuesday, June 26. If you need to speak with a member of the international health insurance team this week, please call or visit the office to request a scheduled appointment for Thursday or Friday, June 28 or 29. Walk-in appointments will resume on Tuesday, July 3.
Wednesday, July 4 is Independence Day in the United States. University offices, including the Office of International Student and Scholar Services, will be closed. Banks and post offices will also be closed on July 4.

Friday, June 29 will be the last day of OCC Transport service for Summer Session I. Service will resume Monday, July 9 for Summer Session II. For more information, watch for updates at the OCCT website at http://www.occtransport.org/
3. Are You a J-1 Student? Are You Working On-Campus This Summer or in the Fall?
If you are an international student in J-1 status, the Office of International Student and Scholar Services would like to remind you that all on-campus employment for J-1s must be authorized in advance by your J-1 sponsor. The sponsor is the agency or institution listed in item 2 of the DS-2019. If your program sponsor is Binghamton University, the ISSS makes it easy for you to fulfill your employment authorization responsibilities by having an internet link where you may request the required authorization letter. 4. Don’t Reply to E-mail Requests for Personal Information
BU’s Office of Information Technology Services reminds the campus that Binghamton University and other reputable institutions will never ask you for sensitive information in an e-mail message. Requests for your username, password, identifying information or money are not legitimate. Delete the message and do not reply.
