The Interpersonal Violence Prevention Program

Interpersonal Violence Prevention is committed to ending all forms of interpersonal violence. We deliver a number of services to the University and surrounding community, including education and training, advocacy, information and referral, crisis intervention, special events and volunteer opportunities.

The program addresses all aspects of interpersonal violence, including:

  • Sexual assault
  • Relationship or dating violence
  • Online harassment
  • Stalking
  • Bullying

Part of the University Counseling Center, the program was initiated in 2005 in response to the growing trend of sexual violence. It was formerly known as Voices Against Violence, which still exists as a chartered organization within the Binghamton University Student Association.
