Wang's research focuses on nanotechnology innovations for future energy and electronics solutions. His interdisciplinary research program integrates nanomaterials synthesis, characterization, processing and applications. His recent research activities include synthesizing carbon nanotubes, metal oxide nanowires, metal nanoparticles, fabricating flexible sensors, transistors, bulk heterojunction solar cells, and rechargeable batteries, and developing novel in situ neutron measurement techniques for studying electrochemical systems.
