Night shift learns about Binghamton
“The Binghamton Tradition:
from Vision to Excellence” was
presented last month to thirdshift
staff from Physical Facilities,
Computing Services and
University Police in a special session
that began at 11:30 p.m.
Hosted by administrative
staff from Human Resources
and Physical Facilities, the session
explored the University’s
growth through the years. A
lively discussion centered on
Binghamton’s proud tradition of
providing quality customer service
to students, staff and the
public. More than 40 night shift
cleaners, janitors, supervisors,
police officers and computer operators
participated in the session,
the first in a series of night
shift outreach offerings.
Future sessions will address
retirement planning and understanding
your benefits, said Alison
Gierlach, personnel associate
in Human Resources. There
will also be training for night
shift supervisors on communication
skills and managing priorities.
