Join the Hawaiian luau during Homecoming 2003
Binghamton University will go Hawaiian to celebrate Homecoming 2003. With the theme of “Hot Hula,” the celebration will begin October 6 and continue during the next several days with Greek Week festivities. Events end with a talent show and fireworks on Sunday, October 12.

Berg showcases his “lullaby” to Broadway
Neil Berg’86, composer of the off-Broadway musical The Prince and the Pauper, will present a concert tribute to the Great White Way at 8 p.m. Saturday, October 11, in the Anderson Center Concert Theater.

Exemplary student to be named during Homecoming
Six University students have become finalists for the annual Exemplary Student Award. The competition, which is coordinated by the Homecoming committee, honors academic achievement, University involvement and knowledge of campus history. The winner will be announced during Baxter’s Village Luau on Saturday, October 11.

Alumni artwork exhibition displayed during weekend
An exhibition highlighting the creativity of BU alumni will open during Homecoming with a reception at 4 p.m. Friday, October 10, in the art museum’s Reifer Gallery.

Roam the trails with campus community and alumni
The University will host a series of moderately-paced nature walks through the Nature Preserve from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, October 11.

Comedian Tommy Davidson to make Homecoming appearance
Comedian Tommy Davidson, known for his roles on Fox’s “In Living Color” and feature films including Booty Call, will perform live at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 9, in the West Gym.

Baxter’s Village Luau offers Hawaiian food, prizes
The Peace Quad takes on a Hawaiian flavor from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 11, for Baxter’s Village Luau. Catch a display of the “Brain Train” floats on the Peace Quad drive after the parade. Festivities kick off at 1 p.m. with a hula dancing performance. The 2003 Exemplary Student Award will be announced at approximately 1:10 p.m.

Fireworks to conclude Homecoming celebration
Homecoming festivities will go out with a bang on Sunday, October 12, with a 15-minute fireworks show scheduled to begin after the completion of the talent show.
