BU to host third annual international student festival

The festival, which will include music, food and sporting events, will take place Friday and Saturday. Activities associated with the festival are free and open to the public.
Festivities begin with two championship sporting events Friday. A volleyball championship game will be held at 4 p.m. and a basketball championship will tip-off at 6 p.m. Both events will take place in the East Gym.
Highlights on Saturday include a soccer championship game scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on the fields located next to the East Gym track.
The festival will culminate in a food tasting and cultural multimedia showcase set for 7:30 p.m. in UU-Mandela Room. The showcase will highlight the cultures of Japan, China, India, Taiwan, Africa and Korea.
The cultural festival is coordinated through the Office of International Student and Scholar Services and sponsored by 19 campus and community organizations.
