Women's soccer falls to Hartford 3-1

The host Hawks (2-4, 2-0 AE) outshot Binghamton, 15-9, and snapped a 1-1 tie just 35 seconds into the second half. Hartford added an insurance goal in the 77th minute.
"We played decent in the first half, but didn't play well in the second half," head coach Jeff Leightman said. "I think they wanted it more than we did - which was the reverse of last year's game (when BU blanked Hartford 1-0).
The teams traded first-half blows with Hartford tallying first at the 30:43 mark. Sophomore back Meghan Taylor tied the score just 2:56 later when she drilled a free kick in from 18 yards out.
Freshman keeper Kristie Bowers made five saves for the Bearcats.
