Titled “Martin Luther King’s Enduring Legacy,” the lecture will focus on how King helped solidify the doctrine of formal equal opportunity and, in the process, transformed and changed national policy on race relations.

Brooks currently teaches at the University of San Diego as the Warren Distinguished Professor of Law. He is a graduate of Yale Law School and the University of Connecticut.
The presentation, sponsored by BU’s Convocations Committee and the Multicultural Resource Center, will also include a screening of King’s historic “I Have A Dream” speech. Although the presentation is free, tickets are required and may be obtained through the Multicultural Resource Center.
