Break out the beads, masks for Homecoming 2004

A retrospective photography exhibition will kick off festivities Friday, October 8, featuring the work of University photographer Evangelos Dousmanis ’03. For nearly 10 years, Dousmanis has captured and defined the image of the University, recording the daily life and major events that have marked Binghamton University’s milestones.
Homecoming will also showcase a student-organized parade of floats; the “Brain Train” is expected to meander around campus on Saturday morning. Events will include Baxter’s Bayou Barbecue and the “Greek God” contest. A special jazz production will take place at 8 p.m. Saturday, October 9, in the AC-Osterhout Concert Theater. The concert, sponsored by the Harpur Jazz Project, will feature a host of jazz artists and guests.
Other activities will include recognition of the Class of 1954, which will celebrate its golden anniversary; the announcement of the winner of the Exemplary Student of the Year award; the Black Student Union fashion show; the 5th annual Alumni Association Golf Tournament and a student variety show. A fireworks display, sponsored by the Student Association, will light up the skies following the variety show.
