Campus programs offer options for holiday giving
Charitable programs taking place on campus include:
• The Student Association 15th Annual Holiday Drive encourages campus departments or individuals to adopt a family for the holidays. To take part, call 777-6503.
• The Residential Hands-to-Heart Holiday Project provides gift baskets to children in the Binghamton area. Those wishing to take part in the program are asked to contact Maureen Regan at 677-4455 by Nov. 19 for a gift basket. Gift baskets then can be filled with toys, clothes or school supplies and returned to collection sites for distribution.
• Toys for Tots. Starting on Nov. 29, Parking Services will be setting up collection barrels at locations providing the campus community with a convenient way to donate to Toys for Tots this season.
• Holiday Dinner. Binghamton’s C3 student interns are collecting monetary and non-perishable donations for a dinner hosted by the interns and the Broome County Homeless Coalition from noon to 2 p.m. on Dec. 9. at the Trinity Memorial Church in Binghamton. Monetary donations can be left with the Division of Social Work office in SEHD. Non-perishable food items can be left in the Commons in AB-229. For more information, call 777-5999.
