INSIDE BINGHAMTON UNIVERSITY
McGoff shifts to new title, role
By : Staff report
In a competitive and challenging environment, the University must have a well-coordinated effort to tie resources to strategic initiatives and closely monitor campus progress toward its major objectives, said President Lois B. DeFleur.
To accomplish these goals, DeFleur has announced a change in title and responsibilities for Michael McGoff, vice provost for planning and budget. McGoff will become vice provost for strategic and fiscal planning, reporting to the provost with a dotted line to the president.
In his new duties, McGoff will oversee the Office of Institutional Research as well as be responsible for developing short- and long-range budgets, developing and tracking indices of progress toward strategic objectives, and space planning.
DeFleur said McGoff will work closely and collaboratively with the dean of the Graduate School, the vice provost for enrollment management and the associate vice president for administration, as well as an operations group - yet to be formed - composed of representatives from each of the vice presidential divisions.
