Filmakers host animal rights documentary, discussion
The film will be followed by a question-and-answer session with filmmakers James LaVeck and Jenny Stein. Also in attendance will be one of the film’s subjects, Howard Lyman, a fourth-generation rancher who quit farming and wrote the book, Mad Cowboy: Plain Truth from the Cattle Rancher Who Won’t Eat Meat.
Peaceable Kingdom profiles ordinary people whose lives have taken an extra-ordinary turn as they uncover and expose the injustices around the use of animals in industry. At a time when public health concerns around factory farming practices are at a peak, Peaceable Kingdom offers firsthand testimony from family and factory farmers who break generations of silence about how things on the farm have gone terribly wrong.
