Five Binghamton University students received the Chancellor’s Scholar-Athlete Awards for excellence displayed in the classroom and on the playing field.

Chancellor Robert L. King recognized a total of 73 outstanding student-athletes from across the state at a recent ceremony held in Syracuse. The Binghamton students who received awards are Jeff Wolniewicz, golf; Deli Plourde, soccer; Robert Kaczynski, swimming; Dan Hanegby, tennis; and Rory Quiller, track.

“These students have consistently demonstrated the dedication, work ethic and leadership that are embodied by all SUNY’s student-athletes,” said King. “We are so proud of them because they have set an example not only for their team-mates, but for students across the university both in the classroom and on the field.”
