DeFleur speaks to faculty
Commenting on the intense competition for students, she said the University has again broken its prior year record for applications, with more than 25,000 received for the fall 2006 semester.
In addition, the University is working on benchmarks to track as it moves ahead with its strategic plan, and a comprehensive gifts campaign of more than double the previous campaign goal is being planned.
DeFleur said the budget outlook for next year is quite positive. “We will be moving ahead in the areas of faculty hiring, academic programs and construction,” she said.
