Celebrating women in sports
The Department of Health, Physical Education and Athletics held a Feb. 1 luncheon at the Events Center in celebration of women in athletics. Speakers included Mary Tursi ’07, above, a member of the women’s cross country team and president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee; University President Lois B. DeFleur; and keynote speaker Kathryn Grant Madigan, a partner at the law firm of Levene Gouldin & Thompson and president-elect of the New York State Bar Association.
