Binghamton University takes top communication honors
BINGHAMTON, NY -- Communicators from Binghamton University’s Division of External Affairs and the Office of Research Advancement brought home a combined 20 awards at the recent Communication Association of the Southern Tier (CAST) Genesis 20 awards banquet.
The Division of External Affairs won the coveted Judge’s Choice award, along with first place honors in a range of categories including public relations campaigns, photography, CD-ROM/multimedia presentations, World Wide Web and outstanding student contributions. The division also received awards for special events promotion, annual reports, self-promotion and a photography series.
The Office of Research Advancement also took home a number of awards, including the top spot in categories such as displays/exhibits, annual reports, digital periodical/newsletters, self-promotion and news writing. Additional awards were received in the categories of feature writing and potpourri.
