Binghamton University received six medals in the annual Accolades

BINGHAMTON, NY – Binghamton University received six medals in the annual Accolades Awards competition organized by District II of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

The University took two gold medals, one for the Think Binghamton website and another for research related news stories. It received three silver medals, one for Binghamton University Day at the Mall, which was recognized in the category of Community Relations Programs, Projects and Special Events; one for the Think Green, Think Global, Think Binghamton Advocacy Campaign, which was honored as a Special Public Relations Project; and another for Binghamton University Advocacy Day, which was recognized in the category of Government Relations Programs, Projects and Special Events.  Binghamton also collected a bronze medal for the Discover-e website.

The competition recognizes best practices, programs and communications in advancement. This year, more than 65 schools, colleges and universities in the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Canada were honored with medals in 40 categories. Winners will be recognized during the district’s annual conference in Baltimore from Feb. 6-8. For more information and the full list of winning entries, visit
