Women Business Owners discuss breakthrough listening skills

BINGHAMTON, NY – A discussion, titled “Breakthrough Listening Skills,” is on the agenda for the next Binghamton University Small Business Development Center’s Women Business Owners (WBO) roundtable, at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites (behind the Plaza Diner), 3615 Vestal Parkway East, Vestal.  Note this new location.

Charter WBO member Sandy Balzhiser will teach participants how to assess a preferred listening style, develop an appreciation for other listening styles and discover effective listening styles for different situations.  She will also discuss the benefits of effective listening.

Balzhiser is the founder of S.B. Associates, a training and consulting company, specializing in communication and leadership skills, customer service training and motivational presentations.  

The roundtable costs $15 per person, payable at the door and includes a full breakfast with all types of selections.  Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards and brochures to share.  Advance registration is required.  Call Binghamton University's Small Business Development Center at (607) 777-4024 or e-mail SBDC@binghamton.edu to register.
