Broadway actress and recovered anorexic performs "Eaten Alive" at Binghamton University

Eva Van Dok, Broadway actress and recovered anorexic/bulimic, will perform a one woman theatre piece titled “Eaten Alive,” at 7 p.m., Tuesday, October 18, in Casadasus Theatre located in the Fine Arts Building on the Binghamton University campus. The event is free and open to the public.

The 55-minute performance presents various stages in the lives of five women suffering from eating disorders. The piece demonstrates the behaviors and lifestyles of the women in a manner that illustrates the dynamics of living and functioning with a disorder.

A discussion will follow in which VanDok will discuss her experience with her disorder and her subsequent recovery. Binghamton University counselor Randi Scheiner will also join the discussion.

This program is sponsored by the Binghamton University Eating Awareness Committee and the Student Affairs Innovative Funds. For more information, please call 777-2772 or email ostrand@binghamton.edu.
