Humor in the workplace is the focus of women business owners roundtable

“The Value of Humor in the Workplace” will be the topic of the Small Business Development Center’s Women Business Owners Roundtable discussion from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 28, at the Binghamton Regency on Water Street in downtown Binghamton.

Dot Marinaccio, regional marketing representative for the NYS Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID), will explore how humor and productivity can coexist in the workplace. The interactive discussion will review appropriate versus inappropriate humor in the workplace.

Marinaccio has over 20 years of experience in working with the disabled in the Southern Tier. She is an active member of the Morning Knights Toastmasters Club.

The roundtable costs $7 a person payable at the door and includes a continental breakfast. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards and brochures to share.

Advance registration is required. Call the SBDC at 607-777-4024 to register.
