Mentoring is the focus of women business owners roundtable

“Mentoring Partnerships: A Shortcut to Success” will be the topic of the Small Business Development Center’s Women Business Owners Roundtable discussion from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 23, at the Binghamton Regency on Water Street in downtown Binghamton.

Ginny Thompson, a business advisor with the Small Business Development Center, will discuss the positive effects of mentoring. She will review how mentoring can keep a business from failing, where to find a mentor and the types of mentoring relationships.

Thompson will also explain how to build long and productive mentoring relationships that will bring business success.
Thompson is a business advisor with SBDC, conducting workshops on starting a small business along with one-on-one business advising.  She is also the owner of Resume Pros.

The roundtable costs $7 a person payable at the door and includes a continental breakfast. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards and brochures to share.

Advance registration is required. Call the SBDC at 607-777-4024 to register.
