Exemplary student to be named during Homecoming
The names of the six finalists for the exemplary student competition have been announced and the winner will be named during Homecoming. The competition, coordinated by the Homecoming committee, honors academic achievement, University involvement and knowledge of campus history.
Finalists are: Ravi Gupta, a junior majoring in science and public policy; Lindsey Krecko, a senior majoring in psychobiology; Jennifer Kwok, a senior majoring in management; Maria Pendolino, a senior majoring in English and theater; Robert Swan, a senior, majoring in biochemistry; and Kenneth Weiss, a senior, majoring in mathematics and computer science.
Preliminary judging began in spring. The winner will be announced during Baxter's Village Luau on Saturday, October 11. The winner will be awarded a $2,175 scholarship, sponsored by the BU Alumni Association and the BU Foundation and a plaque. The second-place winner will receive a $500 bookstore gift certificate and third place will earn a $250 bookstore gift certificate.
