Binghamton University offers consulting services to local businesses

Binghamton University’s School of Management is offering free consulting services by their students to local organizations and businesses that are interested in acquiring highly-skilled management assistance for short- and medium-term projects.

The students, both undergraduate and graduate, are looking to gain practical experience through projects in the various disciplines of accounting, finance, information systems, marketing and human resources. Teams of three and four students are available to tackle the projects, which can extend three to four months. Each team is supported and guided by a School of Management faculty member. The students spend about 12 hours a week on the projects and are available for the fall 2003 and spring 2004 semesters.

Last year, 62 students participated in the program, applying their skills in variety of business, not-for-profit and government agencies both locally and regionally.

Interested organizations and business should contact John Barden at 607-777-6059 or via e-mail at jbarden@binghamton.edu.
