Wine tasting, auction to support fine arts internship
“Let Us Entertain You: The Arts Support the Arts,” a wine tasting to benefit the Binghamton University Harpur Fine Arts Internship Program, will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, in the Anderson Center Reception Hall and on the stage of the Anderson Center Concert Hall.
The wine tasting, featuring offerings donated by several Finger Lakes wineries, will include hors d’oeuvres and finger foods provided by Sodexho Campus Services and performances by University students and faculty.
An auction including items donated by corporate internship partners in the Manhattan area and local professional and amateur performing arts groups will be a feature of the event. Bidders will have opportunities to win season tickets to local and New York theater, opera and orchestra performances and sporting events, autographed posters and items from Broadway actors, Tony Award tickets with hotel accommodations, and items from MTV Networks, AOL/Warner Bros. Records, CBS and ABC/ESPN.
