Business cards focus of women business owners roundtable

“The Use and Abuse of Business Cards” will be the topic of the Small Business Development Center’s Women Business Owners Roundtable discussion from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 26, at the Binghamton Regency on Water Street in downtown Binghamton.

Myrna Webb, a national board certified career counselor, will offer a ‘business card wellness checkup’ to explain how business cards can showcase you and your organization. Webb will discuss the anatomy of a business card – the ‘who-what-why-where’ – and offer tips on how to make them a more effective marketing tool.

Webb has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree from Penn State University. Webb is an employment counselor for the New York State Department of Labor and specializes in offering training and counseling to the unemployed.

The roundtable costs $7 a person and includes a continental breakfast. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards, brochures and product samples to share.

Advance registration is required. Call the SBDC at 607-777-4024 to register.
