Business cards focus of Business Owners Roundtable

“The Use and Misuse of Business Cards” will be the topic of the Binghamton University Small Business Development Center’s Women Business Owners Roundtable from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, at the Binghamton Regency, located on Water Street in Binghamton.

Myrna Webb, a national board certified career counselor, will offer a ‘business card wellness checkup’ to explain how business cards can showcase an organization. Webb will discuss the anatomy of a business card – the ‘who-what-why-where’ – and offer tips on how to make them a more effective marketing tool.

Webb, an employment counselor for the Workforce New York and the National Employment Counseling Association, specializes in training and counseling to the unemployed.

The roundtable costs $10 a person payable at the door and includes an improved continental breakfast. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards and brochures to share.

Advance registration is required. Call Binghamton University’s Small Business Development Center at 607-777-4024 or e-mail SBDC@binghamton.edu to register.
