Tour DeFleur 5K Run to be held at Binghamton University
Lace up your sneakers for the fourth annual Tour DeFleur 5K Run to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 17, on the Binghamton University campus. Registration begins at 10 a.m. in lot E-1 located behind the East Gym tennis courts.
The race will follow the Binghamton Varsity Cross Country course concluding with an awards presentation. Prizes will be given to the top three male and female finishers, as well as the best in each age category.
A 100-yard dash Kids Fun Run will start at 11:45 a.m. and various student performance groups will be on hand for entertainment, as well as a variety of activities and free snacks.
Runners and walkers can sign up in the East Gym Membership Services Office, Room #139. The pre-registration fee is $10.00 and day of race registration is $15, which includes post-race refreshments. A $2 discount will be offered to registrants that have a valid University ID card. The first 100 registrants will receive a t-shirt.
Tour DeFleur is sponsored by Sodexo, Campus Recreation, and the Eating Awareness Committee. All proceeds will be donated to the Binghamton University Eating Awareness Committee for educational programming and resources.
