Requirements to Join Greek Life

As stated in the University's policy for the Recognition and Governance of Social Fraternities and Sororities, Binghamton limits the recruitment and new member (pledging) activities to those students who:

  1. Have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours:
    1. Freshman must have earned 12 credits at Binghamton University
    2. Transfer students must have earned 12 credits while matriculated at another accredited college or university
  2. Are matriculated, FULL-TIME undergraduate student enrolled at Binghamton University.
  3. Have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale.
  4. Submit a New Member Academic Release Form (.doc) to the Greek Life Office

For information on Rush events or General Interest Meetings, contact the respective council president or the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs.
