A Tropical Forest Workshop

Join Binghamton's summer program in Costa Rica, a comprehensive internship focused on tropical forest ecology, restoration ecology and conservation, and techniques for monitoring biodiversity. The program is located at Los Arboles, the 350 acre research station of the Tropical Forest Initiative near the small city of San Isidro. Students take one course and conduct field research while working on various aspects of managing mixed hardwood plantations and documenting forest regrowth. The program takes place for four weeks in July.
