New Student Welcome Back Weekend

Welcome Weekend at Binghamton University is full of activities, social time, and getting settled. It is divided into two specific programs: New Student Days and Welcome Back Weekend.

New Student Days

New Student Days is a continuation of the Orientation program. This event marks the official start of the school year for all new students. Whether you attended orientation this summer or are a part of the fall orientation program, New Student Days is planned for you.

During New Student Days, you will meet with the staff of your residential area, receive additional academic advising, as needed, tour the libraries and other campus facilities, and participate in a variety of meetings and activities designed to enhance your orientation experience.

The highlight of New Student Days is the traditional New Student Convocation. The President of the University will address the entering class, followed by this year's featured presentation in the Anderson Center Concert Theater. Following New Student Convocation, all participating students enjoy a BBQ picnic on the Peace Quad.

Welcome Back Weekend

Welcome Back Weekend officially starts on Friday evening following New Student Days. The program continues throughout the weekend, and has multiple events sponsored by New Student Programs, the residential colleges and communities, as well as additional University offices and student groups. These days are filled with fun and exciting indoor and outdoor activities including Late Nite, "University Fest" and other activities celebrating the beginning of the academic year.
