Main Campus Entrance Re-Design

A design for Binghamton Univeristy's main campus entrance signage has been developed and the University community is invited to share comments.

In March, a temporary mock up of the design will be constructed at the entrance to illustrate the changes. The deadline for comments is Thursday, March 28. You may send comments to Karen Fennie.

The changes would be implemented in the 2013 spring/summer construction season.

The major goals of the design are as follows:

• Provide signage from both directions that is visible from a distance and provide lighting to emphasize signage for night time viewing
• Frame the main entrance to Binghamton University to welcome visitors and students 
• Provide a strong image for the University at the main entrance

The design was developed following an internal competition among designers in the Physical Facilities Department. The design team is Monika Furch and Michele Deskin.
